Dear Parent / Guardian
We had an early start to 2020, with the school year commencing on the 13th January already. It has been a very busy Term, with a lot of school developments taking place. First Term Control tests are completed and learners/parents will collect their reports on 14 April 2020.

SPORTS
Our learners participated in the following sport codes this term:

INTERACT ACTIVITIES
Civvies held on the 14th February (+-R2400) will be donated to various organizations.
Cakes and other goodies- sold on the 13th February (R815) will be used to treat children at a hospital and Coega Village for orphans.
Induction dinner postponed for next term.
All events are postponed until further notice
· Interact Club donated cash to the following charities by raising funds through activities such as Civvies Day, Cake sales etc.

RCL ACTIVITIES:
The first term blood drive 2020 took place on the 11 February 2020. A very big thank you to all educators and learners- It was a resounding success. It is most encouraging to note the numbers of learners who have joined the “Blood ranks”
GENERAL MATTERS
o ID cards: It is compulsory for all learners to be registered at Home Affairs. Parents are urged to do this as soon as possible. This is VITAL for the Exam Registration process.
o To qualify for an SA ID, the learner must be 16 years old.
o MATRICS MUST HAVE AN SA ID TO REGISTER FOR THE FINAL EXAMINATIONS.
o Outstanding School fees must be paid up ASAP!! Statements are being issued to parents and are enclosed.
o Outstanding balances of previous years are being handed over to our debt collectors.
CONCLUSION
Coronavirus Pandemic Shutdown
The president Mr C Ramaphosa declared a national disaster on 15/03/2020; further to announce all schools will close early 18/03/2020. Therefore, all events during this difficult time have been postponed or cancelled.
Easter week is soon upon us. I want to wish our Christian learners, parents and staff a blessed Easter. Thank you to the members of staff, SGB and parent body for their support and service this term. Ramadaan Mubarak to all Muslim learners / staff & parents.
